We’re excited to announce that SOUL PATROL, J.M. Harper’s Sundance award-winning film about the first all-Black special operations team in the Vietnam War, will be distributed by Kino Lorber!
Kino Lorber acquired the North American distribution rights and will release SOUL PATROL theatrically this fall.
Lisa Schwartz, Chief Distribution & Revenue Officer for Kino Lorber, said the following about the acquisition: “‘Soul Patrol’ stayed with me long after its Sundance premiere earlier this year. It was unbelievable that the story of this incredible group of veterans had not been told long ago, and I knew immediately that we needed to be a part of this film. With stunning archival footage, impressive cinematic style, and honest emotional moments, Soul Patrol is essential documentary storytelling that honors a group of men whose recognition is long overdue.”

Special events include a special preview screening on May 21 featuring a Q&A with director Ivy Meeropol & Roxane Gay, moderated by Lindsey Peoples, and additional post-screening Q&As with Meeropol on the 22nd and 23rd. Buy tickets here!
