+ IN THEATERS
ASK E. JEAN
We’re excited to announce that ASK E. JEAN is coming to theaters!

Directed by Ivy Meeropol, ASK E. JEAN is a rousing portrait of the incredible E. Jean Carroll, a cultural icon and the only woman to beat Donald Trump in court — twice. Abramorama will launch the film at New York City’s IFC Center on May 22 with a special preview screening on May 21 featuring a Q&A with E. Jean and her lawyer Robbie Kaplan. The film will then open in Los Angeles on May 29 with additional cities around the country to follow.
We are thrilled to partner with Abramorama on this release. Abramorama CEO Karol Martesko-Fenster said “E. Jean Carroll is one of the most remarkable and original voices in American life and Ivy Meeropol has made a film that is as fearless and funny as its subject. ASK E. JEAN is exactly the kind of story we love to bring to audiences — bold, necessary, and completely unforgettable.”

MOTHERS OF CHIBOK
Joel ‘Kachi Benson’s beautiful tribute to the resilience of Chibok women in the wake of 2014’s horrific schoolgirl kidnappings, has officially launched theatrically across Nigeria and Ghana.

This release by FilmOne is the widest local theatrical release ever for an African-made documentary. The film opened on more than sixty screens and was the number 8 film at the Nigerian box office. Take a look at the gorgeous MOTHERS OF CHIBOK billboards that are now spread throughout Lagos.

In addition to this successful theatrical release, the film’s impact campaign and Chibok Peanut Initiative have accomplished some amazing work in the local Chibok community.
The women in the film rely on peanut farming to send their children to school. To support the women, Kachi and his team partnered with soil scientists to improve the yield of their peanut harvest. By the end of the first year, all ten women had improved harvests. One of the women harvested three times the amount of peanuts she had the previous year, and another had ten times the amount!
