TRIBECA RECAP

We want to take a moment to congratulate WE ARE PAT and MARLEE MATLIN: NOT ALONE ANYMORE on incredible screenings at the Tribeca Film Festival. WE ARE PAT’s World Premiere on Sunday featured a stand-up comedy set by trans and non-binary comics featured in the film, a Q&A with Pat creator Julia Sweeney, and plenty of Pats in attendance.

At the Tribeca Awards Ceremony yesterday, director Rowan Haber received a Special Jury Mention for Best New Documentary Director. Congratulations, Ro!

WE ARE PAT

Ro and Julia were interviewed for Entertainment Weekly, and Rolling Stone debuted an exclusive clip. We love this review from The Aisle Seat:

“WE ARE PAT is a documentary that’s both thoughtful and funny. It can be enjoyed by viewers for whom gender is of interest or by those who simply want to take a closer look at a classic SNL character. If you happen to fall into both categories, all the better. As more and more people identify as trans, non-binary, and gender fluid, a film that heavily integrates humor into the subject has the power to open minds and hearts.”
