Edward Said: Between Worlds

In Progress

EDWARD SAID: BETWEEN WORLDS is an all archival documentary that chronicles the personal journey and ideas of Palestinian-American intellectual, Edward Said. Celebrated as a prophet and vilified as a terrorist, Edward Said was America’s most outspoken critic of the West and Palestine’s fiercest advocate. Culled from decades of unseen home movies, rare television appearances, documentaries, and lectures the film spans seven decades from Said’s childhood in Jerusalem in 1935 to his untimely death in 2003 in NYC. As a leading figure in the humanist tradition, Said invites audiences to question ideas on identity, media, and who exactly has the right to tell their story.
